Victoria Beckham

Power couple David and Victoria Beckham share a love for tattoos and even had their favorite tattoo artist, Louis Molloy, flown in from Manchester to get their latest inkings designed and applied when they moved to the states. Posh has two tattoos dedicated to her husband of nine years, including his initials on the inside of her left wrist.

Angelina Jolie

Where the name of Billy Bob Thornton and a snake used to be is now the six birthplaces of Angelina Jolie‘s children. The unique tattoo is like a map, each birth place—Cambodia (Maddox), Ethiopia (Zahara), Namibia (Shiloh), Vietnam (Pax) and the newest addition of France (Knox and Vivienne)—is listed by their latitude and longitude coordinates.

Penelope Cruz

Vicky Cristina Barcelona star Penelope Cruz had speculation swirling around her 883 tattoo she got while dating Tom Cruise. Beyond the fact that eight and three are her lucky numbers, the actress has not publicly disclosed what the tattoo actually represents. Fans and the media have speculated everything from Scientology ties and Harley Davidson bikes to numerology meanings, but Cruz has shot them all down. “It’s not a Harley Davidson. It’s not the different things that have been said,” Cruz told Newsweek. “I don’t think anyone cares. It’s my own tattoo.”

Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron and her mom have matching Koi fish tattoos on their ankles. The colorful Japanese carp fish often represent determination and power, because they are able to swim upstream even when faced with obstacles like waterfalls. The colorful fish is not Theron’s only tattoo—she also has a lotus flower on her right foot.

Rihanna

The singing sensation has eight tattoos: a skull on the back of her left ankle, music notes on her right foot, a star on her left ear, the Pisces symbol behind her right ear, the word love on her middle finger, stars on the back of her neck and the Arabic phrase for “freedom in God” on her left side. “The stars on the back of my neck I started in L.A., but my guy in New York City finished them,” she says. “I added another group below the first one so they join up.”

Nicole Richie

The rosary permanently wrapped around Nicole Richie‘s left ankle has become a popular request by girls at tattoo parlors. Richie’s eight additional tattoos include a tiara, a cross, ballet slippers, the word “virgin,” a red shooting star, angel wings, and her name “Richie.” She also confessed to having several small dots on her finger from when she accidentally dropped a tattoo gun. Richie told Vanity Fair, “The tattoo artist told me not to play with the tattoo gun, so of course I did.”

Sienna Miller

Quite a few A-list stars have (surprise!) star tattoos. Sienna Miller and Rihanna have clusters; Lindsay Lohan, Kate Hudson, and Victoria Beckham also have star tattoos.

Gisele Bundchen

The Victoria Secret model can’t be overly inked as she is constantly photographed, but the small star on the inside of her left wrist is perfectly subtle. If you’re thinking about following in the paths of inked celebrities take some advice from an expert. Miami Ink tattoo artist Ami James says, “Just think a lot about what you are going to get; it’s very important to put a lot of thought and effort into it.”

Drew Barrymore

The actress got most of her tattoos before she turned 14, but she added the cross entwined with a rose vine above her right ankle in 2003. Of Barrymore’s many tattoos the cross is the most visible; she also has a butterfly just below her navel and a floral design above her left hip.

Christina Ricci

Of Christina Ricci‘s eight tattoos, the lion on her right shoulder is most visible. The petite actress also has a fairy on the inside of her right wrist, praying hands on her left hip, a peapod on her lower back, the words “Move or Bleed” on the left side of her ribcage and a bird on her right breast.
